A Pome a Day for a Year

If the future was a line from here
to the past,
via puffer jackets and Ronald Reagan,
also perhaps skateboards and
a truck full of manure,
would you be Michael J. Fox
or Christopher Lloyd?

Michael does have the overboard,
but Christopher has his floaty train,
though landing it would require
specific places, for you cannot
fly everywhere as eventually
you would have to hit up the shops
and I am not sure Tesco’s Express
has room for a locomotive.
It barely has the room for eight
automobiles! At least the hoverboard
fits under your coat,
and you could put the groceries
on it and pull it around
like a nifty trolley!
