None of them, none of them belong
to our plumber friend, Mario.
He does not own the pipes,
he owns the methods of cleaning, for
plumbing is his trade, and pipes do need
the occasional plum.

Actually, the pipes belong to the Mushroom
Kingdom, not the piranha plants,
who are in fact invaders from
the Koopa Kingdom.
Bowser has a florist who likes to cultivate
plants that eat you, and stick them
in said pipes.

You could say that due to the Mushroom
Kingdom being a monarchy, that
technically the pipes are
the property of Princess Toadstool,
but she would disagree, for
she is actually against hierarchal legacy power
of government. She is attempting to
bring about a people’s utopia,
but the Toads are resisting.
I think they all have crushes on her,
or something.
Plus you generally cannot declare a change
in the ruling structure during war time,
and Bowser will not stop his quest to
abuct the bourgeoise.
