A Pome a Day for a Year

They do, well they do not, but they do,
but really you gotta know
what they do do, when you do know
what they do you can say that
what they do not do is not that
which was being spoken about
in the first place.

I speak and I crumple, there are
so many words stuck in the pipes
and they wanna flush and my mouth
is faster than my brain
and the brain panics and runs around
as though the deep fryer is on fire,
and blurts and splurts and tumbles
the crumbles of letters and hey,
what do you know?!
The clouds do have hoses!

Only they do not, we have been over
this, that hoses and clouds are not
the actual factual statement I lament,
we are discussing denizens of a shadow
realm, who are surprisingly tender
towards their domiciles and adorn
their clouds with hoses.
